The situation may be tough but that is not stopping Dinesh Karthik from playing an absolute blinder. A fifty off just 23 balls with a ball landing on the stadium’s roof. This is a great innings keeping in mind that the T20 World Cup is just round the corner.

    RCB 207/6 after 16.2 overs

  • 22:46 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: Trouble for Faf?

Faf Du Plessis played quite well as a batter today but questions will surely be asked of Faf as a captain. A record total with bowlers showing very little promise. Can this become an issue for his captaincy tenure?

    RCB 193/6 after 15.1 overs

  • 22:39 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: 21 runs in the over and then a wicket

A 25-run over followed by a 21-run over. However, the required rate is showing no signs of going down. Pat Cummins introduced himself into the attack and gets the important breakthrough as Mahipal Lomror departs.

  • 22:30 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: Lomror deals in sixes

Three sixes for Mahipal Lomror followed by a boundary for Dinesh Karthik. This is good batting from the duo and although the target is far too big, these shots will provide some much needed confidence to RCB batters and more importantly, their fans.

    RCB 160/5 after 13 overs

  • 22:25 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: Missing Maxwell?

RCB decided to drop Glenn Maxwell for this match following some bad performances but has the decision backfired today? He is a veteran for such big chases and it looks like they are lacking players who know how to approach this situation.

    RCB 133/5 after 11.4 overs

  • 22:18 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: Saurav Chauhan departs

Saurav Chauhan is the latest batter to throw away his wicket as he is trapped LBW by Pat Cummins. This is just getting worse for RCB with every delivery.

    RCB 123/5 after 10.2 overs

  • 22:08 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: RCB lose two wickets

Run out and this is just the worst thing that could have happened to RCB. Faf du Plessis played the shot straight back to the bowler who deflected it towards the stumps and Will Jacks was well outside his crease. One over later, Rajat Patidar is also caught in the deep. Game over already?

    RCB 111/3 after 9 overs

  • 22:04 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: Fifty for Faf

Faf Du Plessis continues to play big shots and he brings up half century in just 23 balls. A captain’s knock from the veteran batter and this will be very very important in the context of the match.

    100/1 after 7.5 overs

  • 21:58 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: Kohli out

Mayank Markande has castled King Kohli! A slow delivery from the spinner and the ball evaded Kohli’s shot and crashed into the middle stump. What a wicket and this is what SRH needed at this moment.

    RCB 80/1 after 6.2 overs

  • 21:52 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: End of powerplay

End of the powerplay overs and what batting from RCB. Faf and Virat look quite clear about how they are going to approach this chase and it has been a near perfect execution from the two world class batters. So much talk about strike rate and Kohli is now hitting it at 221.05.

    RCB 79/0 after 6 overs

  • 21:50 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: What a stat!

512* sixes from the first 30* matches in IPL 2024 so far – already crossed the final tally from the 2009 edition (506 in 57 games)

  • 21:42 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: 50 up in 3.5 overs

Exquisite batting from both Faf and Kohli. 50 up for RCB in just 3.5 overs and 17 runs came off the over finally. The dropped catch is proving to be too costly and if these two can stay for some more time, RCB can dare to dream just a bit.

    RCB 54/0 after 4 overs

  • 21:36 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: Kohli power

Virat Kohli has taken the initiative and this is the innings that can decide this match. A four and a six against Bhuvneshwar Kumar means that 11 runs came off the second over. Can Faf and Kohli provide the perfect start? The target is too high and any mistake can prove very costly.

    RCB 21/0 after 2 overs

  • 21:35 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: Kohli dropped

What a huge chance! Abhishek Sharma had the chance to dismiss Kohli in the very first over but he was unable to complete the catch on his own bowling. This can turn out to be extremely costly.

    RCB 10/0 after 1 over

  • 21:16 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: History has been created

SRH finally ends up scoring 287 for the loss of three wickets and this is the highest team total in franchise cricket. Sunrisers Hyderabad beat their own record that was created against Mumbai Indians and this is going to be a huge ask from RCB. Travis Head started it all and Heinrich Klaasen add more misery before Aiden Markram and Abdul Samad finished it in style.

  • 21:06 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: 250 up for SRH

It does not matter who the batter is at the moment. Abdul Samad joins the party and he has slammed Reece Topley for 22 runs in 4 balls. What is happening here?

    SRH 250/3 after 18.3 overs

  • 21:01 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: Klaasen departs

A wicket at last for RCB and it is Heinrich Klaasen. He continued playing his shots irrespective of the situation and Reece Topley took the catch off the bowling of Lockie Ferguson to end his stay at the crease. Drama continues as Yash Dayal dismissed Aiden Markram but the umpire signalled for a no-ball to leave the RCB fans in complete shock.

    SRH 236/3 after 17.4 overs

  • 20:52 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: End of the road for Faf?

Can this be the match that can end Faf Du Plessis’ tenure as the RCB skipper? The only big option in the side is Virat Kohli and if he is not interested, RCB may struggle to find a skipper who is also in good form. However, it has been a horrible day at the office and it can only get worse from this point.

    SRH 217/2 after 16 overs

  • 20:48 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: Fifty for Klaasen

Heinrich Klaasen joins the party and it is a 23-ball half century for the South Africa international. RCB bowlers have absolutely no idea what to do and it looks like the 277-run record may be in trouble at the moment.

    SRH 216/2 after 15.5 overs

  • 20:39 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: Klaasen power

18 runs from the over bowled by Mahipal Lomror and Heinrich Klaasen has now picked up from where Travis Head left. Two huge sixes and 250 is well within reach for the destructive SRH batters. Carnage at the Chinnaswamy!

  • 20:34 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: Head departs

Travis Head finally departs for 102 after a brilliant hundred as Lockie Ferguson takes his first wicket for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. A rare miscue from the left-hander and Faf Du Plessis took the catch perfectly to hand RCB a rather important breakthrough.

    SRH 170/2 after 12.5 overs

  • 20:28 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: Head slams ton

Century for Travis Head and it came in just 39 balls. What a knock from the Australian batter. The Indian fans may have mixed feelings for him due to the World Cup final but there can no denying the genius that he has shown today. 250 well and truly on the cards!

    SRH 157/1 after 11.5 overs

  • 20:25 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: RCB Playing XI

Yash Dayal has tried everything but nothing has worked. This is just a special batting show from SRH and there seems to be no answers from Faf and Co. Meanwhile, Travis Head is marching towards a brilliant ton.

    SRH 142/1 after 11 overs

  • 20:18 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: Helpless RCB

This is going from bad to worse for RCB. The bowlers have looked completely clueless against a quality SRH batting which is showing no signs of slowing down. Klaasen has joined Head out in the middle and 250 can be within touching distance for these explosive batters.

    SRH 136/1 after 10.2 overs

  • 20:11 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: Finally a wicket

Some good news for RCB! Abhishek Sharma went for another big shot but this time, the connection was not great and Lockie Ferguson completed the catch to hand the success to Reece Topley. However, Travis Head continue to terrify the bowlers and Heinrich Klaasen is promoted to provide more fireworks.

    SRH 119/1 after 9 overs

  • 20:06 (IST)

Vijaykumar Vyshak is the new bowler for RCB and it was actually a better over considering how the game has gone. Just one six and 11 runs coming in the over. Abhishek Sharma is also joining the party and he will be looking to add another half century to his name.

    SRH 108/0 after 8 overs

Will Jacks back into the attack but no difference to the match situation. 21 runs in the over and there is no stopping Travis Head. Add 2 more sixes to his tally and this is pure destruction at the moment.

    SRH 97/0 after 7 overs

  • 19:56 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: Fifty for Head

No respite for RCB bowlers as Yash Dayal also ended up conceding 20 runs in one over. Fifty for Travis Head in only 20 balls and RCB have no clue about what to do right now. This is getting worse for them with every ball.

    SRH 76/0 after 6 overs

  • 19:49 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: SRH dealing in sixes

New bowler but same result. Travis Head had no problems in facing Lockie Ferguson and he ended up slamming for two consecutive sixes. Looks like the team changes are not yielding any results for the home side.

    SRH 56/0 after 5 overs

  • 19:47 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: Express pace

Time for Lockie Ferguson. This is the first match for the fast bowler in RCB colours and he adds a slightly different flavour to their bowling attack which has struggled massively in this year’s IPL. Can he be the game changer for RCB?

    SRG 44/0 after 4.2 overs

  • 19:43 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: More misery

The Will Jacks gamble has completely failed in this match. The SRH batters are not taking big risks against the spinner and he has ended leaking cheap runs against Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma.

  • 19:40 (IST)

    SRH 28/0 after 2 overs

  • 19:34 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: A positive start

A tidy over from Will Jacks but nothing dangerous. He stuck to a conventional line and length but it was not enough to bother Abhishek Sharma. A boundary for the left-hander and an overall positive start for the batting side.

    SRH 7/0 after 1 over

  • 19:30 (IST)

RCB vs SRH Live Score: Match time

Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head to begin proceedings for SRH and a surprise from RCB! Will Jacks to bowl the first over and this can be interesting.
