RR vs RCB LIVE: Huge controversy

On the third ball of 15th over, Avesh Khan got Dinesh Karthik out as LBW. Umpire raised his finger on the appeal but Karthik decided to review it. The UltraEdge showed a spike but it seemed that the ball cleanly hit Karthik’s front pad and the spike was rather due to the bat brushing the pad. • 23:31 (IST)

LSG vs RCB, Live Updates: WICKET!

Naveen-ul-Haq is out. He has edged the ball to wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik and departs at the score of 13 off 13 balls. Injured KL Rahul comes in to bat now. Lucknow Super Giants need 24 runs in 8 balls.

9 runs off the third over of Harshal Patel and LSG need more than 15 runs per over in the last two. They need 31 runs in 12 balls.

    LSG 96/8 (18)

  • 23:25 (IST)

LSG vs RCB, Live Updates: RCB in control!

Lucknow Super Giants need 39 runs in 17 balls. Forget about boundaries, even the strike rotation has become tough for LSG now. You can’t blame the tailenders though as the wicket is really slow and timing the ball is tough.

    LSG 88/8 (17.1)

  • 23:16 (IST)

LSG vs RCB, Live Updates: LSG need 48 in 24!

The required run rate is exactly 12 for LSG. Wanindu Hasaranga has given only one run in his fourth over. He ends his quota with figures of 1 for 20. Lucknow Super Giants need 48 runs in 24 balls.

    LSG 79/8 (16)

  • 23:11 (IST)

LSG vs RCB, Live Updates: Run out!

Another run out for LSG and Ravi Bishnoi will have to depart at the score of 5 runs off 10 balls. RCB are really close to a victory. Lucknow Super Giants need 50 runs in 32 balls.

    LSG 77/8 (14.4)

  • 23:07 (IST)

LSG vs RCB, Live Updates: LSG need 53 runs in 36 balls!

The asking rate is close to 9 for LSG. RCB are favourites from here as the surface is really slow and timing the ball properly is getting really tough on this surface. Lucknow Super Giants have their task cut out as they need 53 runs in 36 balls. To be honest, it seems like it is RCB’s game to lose from here.

    LSG 74/7 (14)

  • 23:03 (IST)

LSG vs RCB, Live Updates: Economical over

Only one run came off the final over of Karn Sharma. His superb spell ends with figures of 2 for 20. Lucknow Super Giants need 57 runs in 42 balls. It seems a really tough task for them from here. KL Rahul is also prepared in the dug-out, he is likely to come next. But the question is, is Rahul fit enought to play?

    LSG 70/7 (13)

  • 22:58 (IST)

LSG vs RCB, Live Updates: Gowtham is run out!

This is really poor running from Krishnappa Gowtham and he has lost his wicket as a consequence. He steered the ball on the off side and wanted to take a double. While coming back to the wicketkeeper’s end, he failed to ground his bat with full stretch and remained short of the crease as Dinesh Karthik whipped off the bails in time. A dive would have definitely saved Gowtham there. Anyway, it’s too late now. Only 4 runs came off the over of Harshal Patel.

RCB vs CSK Live: Here’s what MS Dhoni said at the toss

“The toss does matter because this is a venue where it is difficult to contain batters in the second innings. And not to forget dew. I think what’s important is not looking ahead, maybe 180-200 is a par score but we need to keep re-evaluating every 3-4 overs on where we stand and what would be a good total to get to. That is a better way to approach, rather than keeping a total in mind. One change – Magala is injured and Pathirana comes in. The good think is all the players who have come in to replace guys have performed well. But these injuries haven’t been ideal, but that’s what happens because the IPL comes at the end of the cricket season.”

  • 19:05 (IST)

RCB vs CSK Live: Here’s what Faf du Plessis said at the toss

“Incredible noise!! We will bowl first. I think the nature of pitches will turn, but 180-200 will be a nice target to change. It is quite a small ground and the ball travels, the surface is good and a little bit of dew could help. No changes in our starting XI but got some tricks up our sleeve for the impact player.”

  • 19:01 (IST)

RCB vs CSK Live: RCB win toss, opt to bowl
