Amid the wait for the new Indian cricket team coach, some very interesting names are coming up for the support staff. Gautam Gambhir, who is reported to be the front-runner for the coach’s post, has had some demands regarding his support staff. He has also received some interesting suggestions. Currently, Vikram Rathour is the batting coach, Paras Mhambrey is the bowling coach while T Dillip is the fielding coach. Apart from Gambhir, former Indian women’s cricket team coach WV Raman has also been interviewed.

KKR vs SRH IPL 2024 Final Highlights: Kolkata Knight Riders beat SunRisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets in the final of IPL 2024 to clinch their third title on Sunday. Chasing a paltry target of 114 runs at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, KKR reached home in 10.3 overs, thanks to Venkatesh Iyer’s 52 not out off 26. Earlier, KKR bowled SRH for 113 after Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bat first. Mitchell Starc bowled a peach of a deliery to get better of SRH opener Abhishek Sharma in the first over and KKR never looked back since then. The Shreyas Iyer-led side kept the noose tightened throughout the innings and eventually bowled the side out for a paltry total in 18.3 overs. Andre Russell was the pick of the bowlers for KKR with figures of 3 for 19 in 2.3 overs. (Scorecard)

In a tournament like this, momentum is really important, we have seen RCB winning their matches and gaining the momentum even we wanted that momentum, so we wanted to go out and wanted the rain to stop but it was disappointing. But, we were the table toppers and we have got a lot of support from the management. It is always special for players like us to play in the IPL final, it’s a dreamy moment for us, going to Chennai and looking forward to it. We were raring to go out there, when you have the momentum you want to really go out there. You saw Rinku fielding in hot spots and taking those catches, it’s the excitement we have to go out there and perform.

KKR vs SRH IPL 2024 Qualifier 1, Highlights: Venkatesh Iyer and Shreyas Iyer both slammed half-centuries as Kolkata Knight Riders defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets to reach the IPL 2024 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Earlier, Mitchell Starc took three wickets, Sunil Narine took two while Andre Russell, Vaibhav Arora, Harshit Rana and Varun Chakravarthy claimed one each to bundle out SRH for 159. In a tournament like this, momentum is really important, we have seen RCB winning their matches and gaining the momentum even we wanted that momentum, so we wanted to go out and wanted the rain to stop but it was disappointing. But, we were the table toppers and we have got a lot of support from the management. It is always special for players like us to play in the IPL final, it’s a dreamy moment for us, going to Chennai and looking forward to it. We were raring to go out there, when you have the momentum you want to really go out there. You saw Rinku fielding in hot spots and taking those catches, it’s the excitement we have to go out there and perform.

    Yeah we will try to put this behind quickly, good thing we will have a crack at it (second qualifier). You have those days in T20 cricket where things doesn’t quite work out. Thought KKR bowled really well, there was a little bit in it early on and the surface got better. MI vs KKR Highlights, IPL 2024: Kolkata Knight Riders beat Mumbai Indians by 24 runs at Wankhede Stadium. Chasing 170-run target, MI were bundled out for 145. Earlier, MI bowled out KKR for 169. Nuwan Thushara claimed three wickets inside the powerplay to dent KKR’s start but a solid partnership of 83 runs between Venkatesh Iyer (70 off 52) and Manish Pandey (42 off 31) led the two-time champions’ fightback. Sunil Narine

After a few lean IPL seasons with the bat, Sunil Narine has looked in splendid touch as a batter. He’s scored a fifty as well as a ton and is averaging 40.86 with a strike rate of 176.54 in IPL 2024. He’s also claimed nine wickets in seven games and is one of KKR’s go-to players this season.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi

Young Angkrish Raghuvanshi has looked good whenever he’s been out there in the middle. In six games in IPL 2024, Angkrish has scored 118 runs at a strike rate of 161.64 and also has a fifty to his name. He will be eager to make an impact once again and is a player to keep an eye on.

Shreyas Iyer

KKR captain Shreyas Iyer has had a topsy-turvy season but remains a crucial player for the team in the middle order. He’s struck a fifty this season and has made three half-centuries against PBKS in the past.

Venkatesh Iyer

Even though he’s had limited time with the bat in the middle, Venkatesh Iyer has still managed to make a fifty this season. Capable of chipping in with the ball in hand as well, Venkatesh will be keen to have some sort of an impact with the ball or bat against PBKS.

Andre Russell

Ramandeep Singh

All-rounder Ramandeep Singh has done well in his limited time at the crease. He’s scored his runs at a strike rate of 182.93 and is capable of chipping in with the ball, making him important for the balance of the team.

Mitchell Starc

Mitchell Starc hasn’t been at his best in IPL 2024 and has conceded quite a few runs in seven games so far. His six wickets have come at a price but the fact that he’s bowled in pressure circumstances like the powerplay and death overs cannot be overlooked. Varun Chakravarthy

Rilee Rossouw

Liam Livingstone

A revelation if there ever was one, Ashutosh Sharma has been one of the finds of IPL 2024. Harpreet Brar

KKR vs SRH Highlights, IPL 2024: Andre Russel’s all-round effort headlined Kolkata Knight Riders’ sweaty four-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in their IPL match at Eden Gardens on Saturday. Russell’s brutal unbeaten 64 off 25 balls with three fours and seven sixes and Phil Salt’s more pragmatic 54 off 40 balls guided KKR to 208 for seven. Left-arm pacer T Natarajan was their most successful bowler with a three-wicket haul (3/32). At several points, SRH threatened to chase 208 down, particularly when Heinrich Klaasen (63, 29b, 8x6s) went berserk in the backend of the innings. But the Hyderabad side fell agonisingly close to the target with Harshit Rana saving 12 runs in the final over. (Scorecard)

Pat Cummins has gone for Rs 20.50 crore to SRH – the highest bid ever! He is now the costliest player ever in IPL history! Daryl Mitchell went for Rs 14 crore from CSK. Harshal Patel roped in by PBKS for Rs 11.75 crore. There are the three players who have breached rs 10 crore mark.
