Punjab Kings (PBKS) will take on Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 37th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur on Sunday. Having won only two games out of seven, Punjab Kings are languishing ninth in the IPL 2024 standings. On the other hand, Gujarat Titans are currently placed eighth in the IPL 2024 standings with six points on the board after winning three matches out of seven matches.

Ahead of this exciting clash, we look at the predicted XIs of both sides.

PBKS Predicted XI

Atharva Taide

Young Atharva Taide is expected to start for PBKS in this match against GT in place of the injured Shikhar Dhawan. Atharva scored 15 off 12 balls in his last outing and will aim to capitalise on his opportunity against GT.

Jitesh Sharma

Gujarat Titans will look to continue their winning momentum under their new skipper Shubman Gill. The Titans find themselves in fifth position on the points table with four points after two wins and one defeat. PBKS, on the other hand, find themselves in eighth position with two points on the points table after one win and two losses.

IPL 2024 Auction Updates: Mitchell Starc will go home with a big fast pay cheque today! There is a bidding war for him between KKR and GT. The fourth set for capped fast bowlers is on! Pat Cummins has gone for Rs 20.50 crore to SRH – the highest bid ever! He is now the costliest player ever in IPL history! Daryl Mitchell went for Rs 14 crore from CSK. Harshal Patel roped in by PBKS for Rs 11.75 crore. There are the three players who have breached rs 10 crore mark. Shardul Thakur (Rs 4 crore) and Rachin Ravindra (Rs 1.80 crore) have been picked by CSK. In the first set for capped batters – Rovman Powell (RR, Rs 7.40 crore), Travis Head (SRH, Rs 6.80 crore), Harry Brook (DC, Rs 4 Crore) – were the top buys. PBKS vs RR Highlights, IPL 2023: With both team facing a must-win situation to remain in contention for the playoffs, Rajasthan Royals overcame Punjab Kings in their IPL 2023 clash in Dharamsala on Friday. Chasing a target of 188, Devdutt Padikkal and Yashasvi Jaiswal hit half-centuries to give RR a strong foundation, before Shimron Hetmyer’s 46-run cameo put the game beyond PBKS’ reach.. Earlier, Top knocks from Sam Curran and Jitesh Sharma, followed by a quick cameo from Shahrukh Khan guided PBKS to 187/5 in 20 overs. Sent into bat, PBKS lost wickets at regular intervals to slide to 50 for 4 in the seventh over before Sam Curran (49 not out) and Jitesh Sharma (44 off 28) added 64 runs for the fifth wicket to give some momentum to the innings. Earlier, Shikhar Dhawan’s half-century, followed by crucial cameos from Harpreet Brar and Shahrukh Khan guided Punjab Kings to 179 for 7 in 20 overs. LSG vs PBKS Highlights, IPL 2023: Sikandar Raza scored a fighting fifty (57) as Punjab Kings chased down 160-run target against Lucknow Super Giants in 19.3 overs at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on Saturday. Yudhvir Singh Charak, Mark Wood and Ravi Bishnoi picked two wickets apiece but failed to avoid a defeat. Earlier, Sam Curran picked three wickets and Kagiso Rabada scalped two as LSG posted 159 for 8. KL Rahul scored 74 off 56 balls but lacked support from fellow batters.
