UI For Mobile Apps: How Often Should You Update It?

UI For Mobile Apps: Introduction

Today, people use mobile apps for almost every need, from shopping to social interaction to managing their lives. Everything is just a click away, making users’ lives more accessible. But you would be surprised to know that even after such a huge demand, almost 99% of the apps fail in the market after their launch. It is implausible that an app will succeed, thus wasting resources, time, and workforce costs. One of the main reasons behind this failure is the lack of focus on UI for mobile apps.

During the app development process, there are times when the design elements are given a backseat, and all the focus is on the app’s technicalities, which is a dangerous approach since it can put the whole mobile app in jeopardy.

The user experience should be the prime focus when one starts to develop an app, which can be achieved with the help of the UI for mobile apps. Designing a UI for mobile apps that fulfills the business goals and is easy to use but simultaneously attracts attention and incorporates the latest designs can be tricky.

UI For Mobile Apps: What Drives A Change In UI Design?

In the Google Play Store, there are 2.87 million apps available to download, while there are 1.96 million in the Apple App Store. These numbers speak for themselves regarding competition in the app market. For a particular app to stand out from the crowd, UI/UX design is one of the main elements that must be addressed.

A poor UI/UX design can decrease client retention and deviate the focus from the strengths of the mobile application. User looks for an experience, a reliable brand to which they can return. Using good design principles creates an excellent first impression and encourages the user to explore the brand more. In addition, it makes all the features more accessible and exploits the app’s potential to the maximum. Investing in a good UI/UX team can enhance the app and help to create a product that makes a lasting impression on its users.

UI for mobile apps should be updated every 3-5 years to reflect the latest trends.

With the technology industry booming and people’s needs constantly changing, no fixed design would satisfy the customers. Also, with updates in the app features, the design needs to be taken into the loop too.

The UI design of an app becomes synonymous with the brand, and it’s essential to keep it constantly updated. Also, based on user statistics and feedback, one can improve the UI of the app by adding the suggested features and debugging. Consistency is the key, and one needs to ensure that the integrity of the mobile app is maintained.

UI For Mobile Apps: Top Signs Indicating It’s Time For You To Update It

There are a few signs which indicate if it’s time to update the app’s UI:

1. Change In User Base

If your target audience has evolved over the years, the mobile app needs to update its design so that the needs of all its users are incorporated. Usually, apps start on a small scale before growing.

There is a shift in the genre of customers then, and if the newest customer’s needs aren’t included, it might be a reason for significant loss for the mobile app.

2. Repeated User Feedback

There might be some issues that are being faced by a majority of the users. These need to be rectified as soon as possible since addressing the users’ problems is one of the main goals of UI/UX design.

3. Competing With The Newest Apps In The Market

The app’s success is critical to the brand’s aesthetic, face value, and functionality. There might be cases where users start migrating to a newer, better app having the same functionality if there are no updates in the mobile app. Continuously keeping up with the latest trends and looking after the customer base is extremely important so that businesses can update their UI/UX design accordingly.

Can Evolving UI Trends Improve The User Experience?

Yes, evolving UI trends can improve the user experience by adding a fresh look to the app. The same UI for mobile apps for an extended period can cause customers to lose interest and push them to look for other viable options. It also might make the addition of features cumbersome.

User needs are of supreme importance when designing an app, and it needs to be ensured that, along with the customization, past data and trends are considered.

Otherwise, the results can be disastrous.

Before making any change, thorough research needs to be performed, and an in-depth analysis of the past statistics and the app’s performance needs to be done.

UI For Mobile Apps: Latest Trends To Follow

1. Transparent Elements

These make the design clearer, highlight the content present, and add a unique element to the app. Transparent elements such as content boxes, navigation bars, etc., add depth to the app design and is an in-demand element to incorporate in mobile apps nowadays.

2. Minimalistic Themes

Instead of cluttered, bright themes with many elements, people have now switched to minimalism. It offers a clean look to the users, makes the app more organized, and enhances the user experience. Combining the right font, designs, and animations can elevate the app’s structure and help to achieve the maximum out of the minimum elements.

3. Animations

Animations are a big attraction for grabbing the user’s attention. Nowadays, apps use more animations to make their experience more interactive and dynamic and add an element of surprise. The content gets more attraction, and more people visit the landing page.

UX & UI For Mobile Apps: Latest Trends

4. In-App Gestures

We primarily use gestures to interact with apps, such as double click and swiping. These make navigating the app more accessible, and the user does not need to learn to use the app’s features repeatedly. For instance, the double tap for linking on Instagram is widely used. Recently, the rotate gesture has also started to come into play.

5. AR/VR Designs

This is the latest trend that is being integrated into mobile apps. AR/VR elements blur the lines between reality and virtual elements and can give the application a significant edge. This way, the app provides users with a real-life experience within the software.

6. Rounded Corners

Contributing to minimalistic designs, rounded corners are a trending design element. They provide a modern look to the design, add an attractive tone, and are easier on the eyes. Most apps nowadays implement this design.

7. Disabled-Friendly Features

Inclusivity is an important aspect of UX design. Thus, apps are now being modified to make them disabled-friendly. For instance, text reading or vibration signals for blind people will encourage them to use mainstream apps too, which earlier used to be just for the general public. Apps need to be accessible to everyone. Everything needs to be considered, from color code, gesture elements, and voice input, so everyone can use mobile apps smoothly.

How Ireland’s ‘great reshuffle’ could benefit women and older workers

Ireland’s labour market has been shaken up by recent tech layoffs and a post-pandemic reassessment of work. But University of Galway’s Dr Maeve O’Sullivan writes that this could create new opportunities.

A version of this article was originally published by The Conversation (CC BY-ND 4.0)

Recent global tech sector layoffs have hit Ireland’s workforce hard. Prior to these job cuts, the Irish digital sector directly employed more than 270,000 people, as well as creating many more ancillary jobs.

Tech jobs pay an average annual salary of €74,000 in Ireland and cover 11pc of the country’s income tax revenues. While gross pay increased across all sectors in 2021 compared with pre-pandemic levels, tech salaries grew by an impressive 28pc, compared with 1pc for hospitality workers.

Equipped with superior spending power, these well-paid tech workers have also been better able to afford Ireland’s high rents and house prices – even during the recent housing, energy and cost-of-living crises. Although, these were arguably boosted by the growth of high-paying sectors such as science and technology in the first place.

These jobs often come from foreign firms. The last year broke records for foreign direct investment employment in Ireland. Multinationals employed more than 300,000 workers, with information and communication firms accounting for 116,192 of those jobs.

Much of this is activity concentrated in ‘Europe’s Silicon Valley’, the Dublin docklands area that hosts major offices for many of the world’s largest tech companies including Google’s parent Alphabet, Apple, Meta, Microsoft’s LinkedIn, Stripe and Twitter.

But with just 10 firms accounting for 36pc of all the tax paid in the country, Ireland’s economic vulnerability in the face of a global recession and the current tech downturn has caused some concern.

Before these job cuts, however, continued employment growth from multinational firms has left home-grown tech companies – and many other sectors – with record job vacancies. Indeed, the head of industry body Technology Ireland pointed out recently that indigenous firms have “found it challenging to hire at pace over the last two years”.

Ireland hit a record high for job vacancies right across the economy this year. This means there could be a silver lining to recent layoffs by global tech giants, particularly if locally based talent is freed up for indigenous tech firms.

It could also create opportunities for employees that are currently underrepresented in the workforce such as women and older people.

The great reshuffle

Almost half (45pc) of all Irish workers returning to employment post-pandemic changed jobs, with 69pc of those also changing economic sector.

This labour market upheaval is quite remarkable, pointing to a post-pandemic reassessment of why, how and where people work. Indeed, instead of the ‘great resignation’ experienced by other countries, Ireland has seen more of a ‘great reshuffle’.

And while some of these workers are leaving good jobs for great ones, others are leaving bad jobs for slightly better work or exiting the labour market completely. The competition for both top talent and low-skilled workers continues unabated.

This churn has also revealed a growing duality in the Irish labour market. Despite high remuneration packages for multinational and tech sector workers, recent OECD data shows that the problem of ‘low pay’ (earnings below two-thirds of the country’s median income) is much more acute in Ireland than in many developed countries.

At 18pc, Ireland has the highest rate of low pay among western EU states. This problem is more acute for migrant workers (almost one-fifth of Irish workers), women, younger and older workers.

Hospitality employees are among the lowest paid in society, typically earning one-third of tech workers’ salaries. Recent analysis shows that half of all hospitality workers in Ireland changed employer post-pandemic. Two-thirds of these workers moved to other sectors such as retail and administrative or support services.

Finding decent work

All of this indicates a change in workers’ idea of ‘decent work’ or a good job in places like Ireland.

While previous definitions typically included fair wages and employment benefits such as a pension and healthcare cover, recent research suggests workers are reassessing their jobs and demanding more flexible and better-quality jobs in which workers are appreciated, fairly compensated and properly supervised.

Elon Musk’s recent ultimatum requiring all Twitter employees to return to in-office work and commit to working in a “hardcore” fashion certainly appears to have backfired. When workers reacted with the departure of key personnel and litigation threats, Musk appeared to relax his outright ban on remote working.

But, despite the obvious advantages of hybrid working for both employers and workers, there is more potential for long-term career damage, unfair treatment and unequal access to opportunities for remote workers.

A recent global survey by consultancy firm Deloitte found that 58pc of female hybrid workers felt excluded from access to leaders and key meetings. Also, some research suggests less than 40pc of jobs can be performed remotely.

Where to next for Ireland?

Given the record levels of job vacancies in Ireland – even with recent foreign tech company job cuts – two untapped labour sources are right under our noses: women and older workers.

Faced with the majority of caring responsibilities, the exodus of women from the labour market during the pandemic was striking. In the first half of 2020 alone, more than 70,000 women left the Irish job market. This trend has since been partially reversed with a 59pc female labour force participation rate in 2022.

But women still face barriers to decent work including unpaid caring duties, interrupted work histories and being more likely to be underemployed or stuck in precarious or low-paid employment.

People in the developed world are also living longer, more active lives. As a result, governments in many OECD countries are encouraging continued participation in paid work.

But this is challenging for employers and employees. Result’s from Ireland’s first Longitudinal Study on Ageing shows workers approaching pension age tend to work fewer hours or part-time. Workplace ageism also remains a barrier to work for this section of the population – while many firms employ older workers, few recruit them.

The world is reeling from recent tech job losses and the global recession. But Ireland is well positioned to respond to these challenges if it can address its labour market inequality.

‘We’re so used to the ‘other’ playing it but now it’s here:’ What it means for Qataris to experience a World Cup | CNN

CNN
 —

Reem Al-Haddad still remembers how excited she felt when Qatar won the right to host the 2022 World Cup.

As a starry-eyed, soccer-mad 11-year-old, Al-Haddad screamed with joy as she watched former FIFA President Sepp Blatter open an envelope, revealing Qatar’s name, live on television, in 2010.

That one of the world’s biggest sporting competitions would be held in Al-Haddad’s country was unimaginable to her back then and, over a decade later, with the tournament in full flow, it’s scarcely believable to her now.

But as she grew older and the tournament drew nearer, Al-Haddad realized that, beyond the sport, this was an opportunity to showcase her country and a region that she loves so much.

“The World Cup has almost always been in Western nations. We never really had the chance to experience it within our countries,” she told CNN, speaking at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Qatar.

“It’s really amazing to have people from all around the world get exposed to Arab culture.

“When people come to Qatar, it might be easier for people to accept the differences and understand how different we are and how one thing, like football, can unite us all.”

Al-Haddad’s story is one of many to be included in the “GOALS” program – a year-long collaborative series which looks to tell the untold stories of this World Cup.

While much of the narrative around Qatar 2022 has focused on off-field issues – from the treatment of migrant workers to homosexuality laws in the country – the “GOALS” program, in collaboration with The Sports Creative, Qatar Foundation, Generation Amazing, and Salam Stores, aims to tell stories from people living and working in Qatar.

All of the individuals volunteered their time as they wanted to tell their stories with zero influence from the state, according to program curator Goal Click.

Al-Haddad seems timid as she starts talking to CNN, but her demeanor changes when the topic shifts to soccer; her eyes fill with excitement and she talks with confidence about the positive impact she hopes the tournament will have on Qatar.

The 23-year-old didn’t always love soccer. It is a passion that has developed over time and, with it, has come a fascination around a new community and culture.

She says she now uses her social media platforms to post photographs of people from her community playing soccer and hopes the nation’s love for the game will keep growing.

Analysis: Zakaria argues professional sports are inherently political

Al-Haddad is well aware of the issues which have cast a shadow over this World Cup.

The Guardian reported last year that 6,500 South Asian migrant workers have died in Qatar since the country was awarded the World Cup in 2010, most of whom were involved in low-wage, dangerous labor, often undertaken in extreme heat.

The report did not connect all 6,500 deaths with World Cup infrastructure projects and has not been independently verified by CNN.

However, last year World Cup chief Hassan Al-Thawadi disputed that figure and told CNN’s Becky Anderson that the Guardian’s figure was a “sensational headline” which was misleading and that the report lacked context. The issue gained renewed traction following an interview Al-Thawadi gave Piers Morgan during the tournament.

Al-Haddad tries to find the words that best sum up her feelings about the off-field issues.

“As with every nation, we can learn from our mistakes,” said Al-Haddad. The growth is slow, it’s not immediate.”

There is a reluctance to talk further about human rights issues, instead she prefers to speak about how this World Cup could unite people.

It’s an attitude shared with many people around Doha, with some locals and fans frustrated by the constant questions about topics they feel they can’t control.

Haya Al Thani, like Al-Haddad, is also part of the GOALS program.

The 32-year-old is a confident, charismatic woman who works for “Teach For Qatar” – a local organization that works to solve problems students may face in school.

Before her new role, she was a teacher for two years and says the lessons of kindness she used to teach her children could be applied to the narrative around this year’s World Cup.

Despite admitting that things need to change in the country, she says the criticism of Qatar has been too much and she wants the topics to be approached with more respect.

“I think people undermine kindness. People think it’s a secondary thing. They think we have bigger, more political things to focus on and that kindness comes later,” she told CNN.

“I feel like whatever you do, if it’s framed with respect and kindness it goes a long way.

“Just being respectful and being kind, even when the conversations are difficult. When you’re a respectful person […] the conversation is so much more productive.

“I think it’s one of the main reasons why people [in Qatar] are getting defensive because it always feels like an attack. It doesn’t feel like a dialogue.”

Over one million fans from around the world have traveled to Doha, Qatar, to watch the tournament.

Al Thani’s love for soccer started in 2002 and was inspired by one particular player, legendary Italian defender Paolo Maldini.

Maldini was playing for AC Milan at the time and its iconic red and black stripes bore similarities with Al Thani’s local team, Al Rayyan.

She still remembers watching the 2002 World Cup from home, cheering on Italy before it was knocked out by host South Korea in the round of 16. She even learned some Italian in case she ever met Maldini.

Her love for soccer has become intertwined with her family’s passion for the game and she’s overwhelmed that the World Cup has arrived on home soil.

“That person who watched the World Cup behind the screen never believed that she would actually get to experience it in real life,” she added.

Like many of her friends and family, Al Thani has spent years waking up at ungodly times to watch some of the biggest tournaments across South America and Europe.

She recalls staying awake until 1 a.m. to watch a Champions League final or 4 a.m to see action from the Copa America.

“We have the alarms set and everyone is just screaming behind the screens. No one would complain about the timing because we have to adjust with that time,” she added.

“Now it’s happening here, we get to wake up and it’s in our schedule. I’m not sleep deprived. It’s a surreal experience.

“For my father and my aunt, it’s even more amazing. People are just blown away. We’re so used to the ‘other’ playing it but now it’s here. It’s quite a beautiful thing to experience. I’m so grateful.”

Self-made millionaire: Here’s what it means to be rich and how to successfully land a raise

There’s no one definition for what it takes to be rich — it means something different to everyone.

“Each person defines what rich means for them,” self-made millionaire Ramit Sethi, author of New York Times bestselling book “I Will Teach You To Be Rich,” told CNBC’s Frank Holland during the inaugural CNBC Make It: Your Money virtual event on Dec. 13. The event featured several successful entrepreneurs and financial icons who offered advice about increasing your earning power.

“For some people, rich means having a million dollars in the bank. For some people, rich means being able to go to yoga in the middle of a weekday,” Sethi added.

The way most of us feel about money is highly psychological, said Sethi, with either positive or negative associations that can be untethered to actual wealth.

“I’ve spoken to people who have $10 million in net worth, and they still worry if they’re going to have enough,” said Sethi. In his experience, feeling rich is “uncorrelated to how much we have in the bank.”

“I see money as a source of growth. It has made me more adventurous, spontaneous, generous,” said Sethi. “When we have money, we can choose what type of characteristics we want to emphasize.”

How to ask for a raise — and get one

If you want to negotiate a higher salary, Sethi says it’s important to have a plan long before you ask for a raise.

Start by meeting with your boss. Say that you want to be “extraordinary at this job” and work with them to identify two to three actionable goals to get there. As you work on those goals, update your boss on your progress every few weeks, Sethi recommends.

Months later, when it’s time to actually ask for a raise, you’ll be able to show that you’ve made progress on your goals. You can also research what other people in your position make and share the results.

“You don’t need to be confrontational — negotiation is a dance,” says Sethi. If your boss says they can’t offer a raise, that might be because they don’t have the “budget or power” to do so.

“That’s OK,” says Sethi. “But what it means for you is that you need to make a decision on whether you want to stay in that job or not.”

Millennial entrepreneurs discuss wealth-making tips

CNBC’s Kristina Partsinevelos spoke with a panel of millennial entrepreneurs who have grown their creative side hustles into six-figure businesses. Here are a few of their top takeaways.

  • Michelle Schroeder-Gardner, founder of Making Sense of Cents, earns $760,000 a year in passive income and lives on a sailboat with her family. Side hustling, including freelance writing, affiliate marketing and renting out rooms in her home, “completely changed my life,” she said.

In the last two years, her big goal was to earn more in passive income, so that she could work fewer hours and enjoy her life. To do that, she put her business “on autopilot” by hiring a virtual assistant and outsourcing editing tasks.

Now, she only works 10 hours a week and is able to save for early retirement. “I don’t feel like I have to say yes to every project these days,” she said.

  • Todd Baldwin, who became a millionaire when he was 25, said that his passive income journey has been all about real estate. He’s found success with an unorthodox real estate strategy: Rather than renting out full homes to a single tenant, he and his wife rent out each bedroom individually.

However, he didn’t earn passive income right away. Baldwin worked 17 hours a day when he first started, he said: “Every penny that I made, we were just putting it back into more real estate.”

And despite earning seven figures, he’s extremely frugal. He still clips coupons, secret shops and drives “a 2009 Ford Focus with 180,000 miles on it.”

  • Grace Torres — a 23-year-old who turned her wedding photography side hustle into a six-figure business — agreed that reinvesting profits into your business is crucial for growth, “especially for solopreneurs.”

Whether that’s buying new camera equipment or adding employees, she’s used her profits to expand the company. It’s common for new businesses to grow slowly in the first few years, and one of the trade-offs can be that you’re not paying yourself very much, she said.

However, running your own business has its advantages, she said. When Torres first started her wedding photography business, she felt “very little pressure to make a lot of money in order to survive or to support a family.”

Kevin O’Leary still believes in crypto

Kevin O’Leary, star of ABC’s “Shark Tank” and host of CNBC’s Money Court,” was a paid spokesperson and investor in embattled cryptocurrency exchange FTX. He lost $15 million when the businesses went bankrupt last month.

However, O’Leary is still bullish on crypto. “I’m going to continue to invest in crypto,” he told Holland. “I’m a big believer in the platforms and the technology and the promise of what’s going to come in the years ahead.”

O’Leary said the industry is “culling its own herd — getting rid of the bad actors, the weak actors, the incompetent managers, all of that.” For that reason, he believes the crypto space will emerge stronger.

However, if you’re going to invest in crypto, be cautious. O’Leary warned against putting more than 20% of your total assets into one crypto exchange or institution. It’s also smart to diversify your crypto investments across different tokens and assets, he said.

When asked about what small business owners can do to prepare for a possible recession, O’Leary shared the advice that he gives all of his CEOs: The minute you have positive cash flow, start to pay down every debt you have.

With high interest rates on loans, “the only thing that can take you down in times of stress is leverage,” he said.

O’Leary also tells business owners to focus on three rules: “No. 1, customer. No. 2, customer. No. 3, customer.”

“If you take care of your customer, they will take care of you,” said O’Leary. “Customers that feel they’re being well served are even willing to pay higher prices and are very sticky. Customer service is everything.”

The CNBC Make It: Your Money livestream was sponsored by Edward Jones and Robinhood.

Disclosure: CNBC owns the exclusive off-network cable rights to ABC’s “Shark Tank.”

Bitcoin Casinos vs. Ethereum Casinos 🪙

It is frequently asked which cryptocurrency is the best to use when playing online games. When these factors are considered, BTC and ETH gamblers will discover that they both provide something unique in comparison to traditional currency players:

  • Higher Payouts:  One of the biggest benefits of using a cryptocurrency for casino play is that you can access much higher payouts than traditional fiat currency. For example, gambling at a casino where you deposit $10 in fiat money will only give you back $10 worth of winnings if you win. Meanwhile, if you gambled with an equivalent amount in cryptocurrency, your payout would typically be much higher due to the price fluctuations of these currencies.
  • Cryptocurrency Market Accessibility: When it comes down to it, one major perk is accessibility, namely because people don’t need bank accounts or identification cards (or even age verification) to access them! You also get instant transactions without any waiting time.
  • Provably Fair games:  Another plus is that many crypto casinos offer provably fair games. Unlike traditional land-based or online casinos, the randomness of these games is verifiable through cryptographic algorithms, which means you’re less likely to run into shady activity like rigged slots and roulette wheels.
  • Anonymity: There’s no way for anyone outside a particular crypto casino to identify who’s playing there since there’s no personal information collected during registration other than an email address.
  • Freedom from geographical restrictions: Most importantly, users don’t have to worry about borders when they’re making deposits or withdrawals into their respective wallets — not just between countries but between various areas within the same country too!

In Wrapping Up 😌

Finding a good Ethereum casino can be difficult. It takes patience, perseverance and research to find one that meets your needs as a gambler. One bad experience isn’t detrimental but dealing with dishonest casinos is much worse. So it’s important to do extensive research beforehand to avoid being scammed out of all your money!

The following 10 are some of the best Ethereum Casinos available right now; they have licenses, perform well and have a proven track record — so you’ll feel secure playing there knowing you won’t lose anything. But we still advise checking each website before registering or betting money on them!

DISCLAIMER 🛑

Unfortunately, some Ethereum casinos reviewed in this article might be unavailable to residents from certain countries. Please double-check your local gambling laws before placing a bet online.

How Page Speed Affects SEO & SERP Ranking? Here are the Answers

SEO is not all about optimizing for the right keywords. You have to nail your On-Page SEO to ensure that the page speed of your website is between 0-3 seconds. Keep reading to find out How Page Speed Affects SEO and how to boost your page speed in this blog.

The page speed of a web page is the time it takes to load up on a browser. A lot of factors can cause poor page speed. You need to identify why your pages are slow and implement SEO practices using reliable tools to boost the page speed of your website.

What Is Page Speed in SEO?

Page speed is the time required for a page to load when a user clicks on it through Search Engine Result Pages.

There has been a debate on whether page speed is a ranking factor. Will search engines not prioritize a page that loads faster but contains nothing valuable? Or will it rank an authoritative page higher that loads slower?

Before we crack this question, we’ll have to take a brief look at the history of How Page Speed Affects SEO.

The History – How Much Does Page Speed Affect SEO?

Google announced in 2010 that they had decided to identify site speed as a ranking factor. Back in the day, the update to the search algorithm pushed in 2010 by Google only applied to desktop results. Google made changes to its search algorithm for mobile users in July 2018.

The official announcement stated that Google will now count page speed as a ranking factor for mobile like it does for desktop users.

The Importance of Page Speed in SEO

Boosting page speed takes a lot of time and effort, but it’s something you should not ignore. Remember that you have to optimize for speed other than writing quality content if you want to rank higher on SERPs. Here’s why fast page speed matters in SEO:

One cannot ignore the importance of page speed as a google ranking factor for mobile users.

Engage Mobile Users Source: Think with Google

Mobile traffic now makes up more than half of the global web traffic. It’s essential to target mobile users if you want to boost the credibility of your business. The best way to target your mobile audience is to claim higher SERP rankings by boosting the speed of your web pages.

Improving the speed of your web pages can help you increase dwell time and reduce bounce rate. You can also implement the AMP framework to decrease the load time of your web pages.

As mentioned above, Google and other search engines rank pages with better page speed higher on SERPs – and this is How Page Speed Affects SEO of your website. Focusing only on content will not enable you to get more visitors to your website. You need to optimize the speed of your web pages if you want your website to rank higher on SERPs

According to a report published by Kissmetrics, users will be quick to leave your page if it doesn’t load up faster. You can only increase your conversion rate if your website responds quickly. Allowing the users to interact with your products and services without any delay can make it easier to make more sales.

Enhances User Experience Source: Finalsite

Improving the User Experience for your website visitors is more important than you think. With the decreasing attention span of online users, you need to provide relevant information in the shortest possible time.

People will be quick to leave your page if your website doesn’t load up fast. This is why you have to enhance the speed of your web pages to keep users engaged in your products or service.

What Is A Good Page Speed?

Now that you know How Page Speed Affects SEO, you should also know about the ideal page speed of a website.

Experts suggest that your website should load up between 0-3 seconds if you want to boost your conversions

It’s easier to identify what page speed is good for websites, thanks to the PageSpeed Insights tool introduced by Google. According to this tool, if you get an SEO score of above 90, your website loads up fast.

How to Evaluate Page Speed?

Core Web Vitals is a ranking factor according to the Page Experience Update introduced by Google. As an online business owner, you need to optimize for Core Web Vitals if you want to rank higher on SERPs and boost the speed of your web pages.

How page speed affects SEOSource: Google Search Central Blog

The Core Web Vitals is divided into three factors:

1. Largest Contentful Paint (LCP)

Largest Contentful Paint Source: web.dev

LCP is a metric that tracks how long it takes for a website to show its first rendered content, whether it’s an image or textual content. This metric doesn’t count for any color or background that might show on a webpage. LCP should show up within 2.5 seconds, according to Google.

2. First Input Delay (FID)

First Input delay Source: rockcontent.com

FID is a metric that tracks what a user thinks of the interactivity and responsiveness of the website. This metric makes it easier for the search engine to track when a user tries to interact with a web page, and what response the browser gives. FID should be less than 100 milliseconds.

3. Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS)

Compulative Layout Shift

CLS is a metric that tracks how much a page undergoes design changes when a user visits it. According to Google and UX experts, a page’s design shouldn’t change abruptly as it can surprise the website visitor. Google suggests that CLS should be less than 0.1.

Other Speed Factors

Other Speed Factors Source: PageSpeed Insights

There are six other factors related to the page speed score. These factors are labeled as “field data.” You can find the value of these factors for your website using the Lighthouse tool made by Google. It’s essential to know about these factors to learn How Page Speed Affects SEO. Below is a brief introduction to the six factors:

The FCP metric estimates the time it takes the browser to process the first bit of content provided by the DOM. This process shows the user that the website is loading up.

The FMP metric estimates how long it takes for the website to show the biggest above-the-field layout change. It also counts the time required to show fonts on a web page.

The Speed Index metric is used to estimate how long a web page takes to show a “visually populated” field to the user. This metric is calculated in milliseconds and depends on the viewport.

The First CPU Idle metric is used to calculate the time taken for the main thread of a web page before it’s ready to take input provided by the user.

The Time to Interactive metric is used to calculate the time taken between finishing the last Long Task and the gap of 5 seconds between network and main thread inactivity.

  • Max Potential First Input Delay

The Max Potential First Input Delay metric is used to measure the expected First Input Delay that any website visitor can observe.

How to Improve Website Page Speed?

How to improve website page speed

Now that you are aware of the Core Web Vitals and six other major factors that influence the calculation of Page Speed, it’s time to delve into the “How” of improving page speed.

Improving page speed falls under the umbrella of Technical SEO. It’s better to work with an SEO expert who can analyze page speed issues and fix them if you’re not a geek. However, if you’re willing to try boosting page speed yourself, here’s how to improve google page speed the right way:

  • Eliminate Unnecessary Redirects

Many SEOs use redirect chains to redirect a website to its mobile version. Unnecessary redirect requests can make your website unresponsive or slow down page speed because of the additional HTTP request-response cycle.

Eliminating all the redirect chains effectively requires a lot of effort. You can simplify it by using the “Screaming Frog” tool.

  • Check Your Server Response Time

Server Response Time is the time taken to load up the HTML of your webpage. Experts suggest that the Server Response Time of your website should be under 200 ms. Here are some of the reasons that might increase Server Response Time:

3 Factors that Cause Slow Server Response Time

  • Slow database queries
  • Slow routing
  • Slow application login

  • Prioritize Above-The-Fold Content

As mentioned above, the UX of your website plays an important role in page speed. You should prioritize showing the above-the-field content if you want to keep the user engaged on your website and reduce the bounce rate.

Optimizing media files like images and GIFs on your website will make it easier for you to boost page speed. There are several factors that dictate whether and how you optimize media files on your website. It’s better to enlist the goals you want to achieve with media files on your website before you start optimizing those files.

GZIP compression is one of the cool ways to boost page speed for SEO purposes. Enabling GZIP compression support on your server can reduce transferred response. You can read this guide on what GZIP compression is and how you use it.

  • Introduce a Caching Policy

Having a specified caching policy can overcome the delay in processing which is one of the factors that blocks page rendering. A good caching policy can identify and solve all the caching problems. Read this resource to learn how to benefit properly from browser caching.

The Disappearing Act of Nishad Singh, FTX Billionaire

Nishad Singh served on the board of the firm’s philanthropic arm. (File)

The rallying cry of the scorned crypto faithful, which started when FTX spiraled into bankruptcy, has taken on added seriousness after Sam Bankman-Fried was arrested in the Bahamas and charged with eight criminal counts in the US.

“Where is Gary Wang?”

Wang, an ex-Google software engineer, had established a reputation – both internally and outside the firm – as a quiet fixer and the brains behind the FTX crypto empire. Media-shy and prone to work odd hours, the exchange’s co-founder cultivated an aura of mystery that served as a stark contrast to the more high-profile Bankman-Fried.

Wang, like Bankman-Fried, was also once one of the richest twentysomethings on the planet – with a stake in the business worth as much as $1.6 billion in March, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

He’s still in the Bahamas, according to a person familiar with the matter. And, as Bankman-Fried would tell Vox: “Gary is scared.”

Bankman-Fried’s arrest, made at the request of the US government, underscores the urgency among authorities to crack down on one of the crypto industry’s biggest implosions, which has left some 1 million customers in limbo. Though Bankman-Fried served as the public face of FTX, it was a tight-knit inner circle – him, Wang, Caroline Ellison and Nishad Singh – who are said to have been aware of the decision to use FTX customer money to help Alameda meet its debts. That decision ultimately doomed FTX and strikes at the heart of whether they committed fraud.

Neither Wang nor Singh, both of whom were fired a week after FTX’s bankruptcy, has surfaced in the month after the epic collapse – nor have they been charged. It’s not clear whether either have lawyered up, in contrast with Ellison, who hired Stephanie Avakian, former enforcement division chief at the Securities and Exchange Commission, along with others at WilmerHale.

In the case of Singh, the 27-year-old director of engineering who grew up in California, it’s not even known where he’s currently holed up.

The disappearance act is a departure from the outsized roles they played at FTX, especially as Bankman-Fried became a more public figure advocating for pandemic preparedness and regulatory changes.

“FTX Group’s collapse appears to stem from the absolute concentration of control in the hands of a very small group of grossly inexperienced and unsophisticated individuals,” John J. Ray III, FTX’s newly appointed chief executive officer, said in prepared remarks to the House Financial Services Committee this week.

Bankman-Fried was charged with criminal counts including conspiracy and wire fraud in an indictment unsealed by a federal court judge in Manhattan Tuesday. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission filed a complaint Tuesday, in which Bankman-Fried was the only listed individual defendant. The Securities and Exchange Commission also targeted just Bankman-Fried.

Wang didn’t respond to phone calls, emails and text messages seeking comment. Singh didn’t respond to emails and Telegram messages requesting comment.

Where’s Gary?

While “Where is Gary Wang?” has become a frequent question on Twitter and Reddit message boards in the wake of FTX’s collapse, it was also what some inside the firm were asking during the chaotic days before the exchange went bust.

Rather than looking to Bankman-Fried’s Twitter ramblings for solace, some employees instead sought reassurance from the actions of Wang and particularly Singh, who was known as an attentive manager.

But, in an ominous sign of what was to come, they were nowhere to be found.

On a Slack channel for urgent engineering issues, messages that would normally get a response in a matter of minutes would go unanswered for a day, according to a person familiar with the matter. As FTX’s general counsel, Ryne Miller, pleaded for Bankman-Fried and other founders to cooperate, Wang would barely respond, according to internal discussions seen by Bloomberg.

“Gary is scared, Nishad is ashamed and guilty,” Bankman-Fried would tell Vox less than a week later, in a conversation he claims wasn’t meant to be public. His biggest mistake, he insisted, was filing for bankruptcy at all.

Perhaps his best shot to fix what he’d done? “Either Gary or Nishad comes back,” he said.

They didn’t. Now Bankman-Fried is being held in custody pending an extradition process, the Bahamas attorney general, Ryan Pinder, said on Monday. The SEC on Tuesday accused him of carrying out a multi-year scheme to defraud investors, with Chair Gary Gensler calling his crypto empire “a house of cards on a foundation of deception.”

Brilliant Coder

Bankman-Fried and Wang, who met at math camp in high school and were roommates at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, remained close at FTX. At one point, after Bankman-Fried hadn’t been seen in the office for a while, he returned and explained to employees that he’d been absent because he just wanted to work alongside Wang, who, unlike him, could code, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Wang is brilliant “beyond belief,” Singh, who was mentored by him and worked with him in Hong Kong on the development of FTX’s exchange, said in a 2020 podcast. A now-deleted blog post celebrating FTX’s first anniversary features a photo of Wang reclined with his feet on his desk, sporting a fleece and jeans in front of six large computer screens.

It’s one of the few pictures available of Wang. He had the second-largest position in FTX.US behind Bankman-Fried, according to court documents, and also the second-biggest stake in Alameda, with about 10 per cent. He also borrowed $224.7 million from the trading house, according to the complaint filed by the SEC.

Bankman-Fried and Wang controlled access to FTX’s digital assets, according to a document filed by Ray. He said the company’s “unacceptable management practices” included the use of software to conceal the misuse of customer funds.

Bankman-Fried disputed that he, Ellison, Singh and Wang decided to use FTX customer funds to cover Alameda’s shortfall, which, if true, could mean they committed fraud. He said the executives held a meeting about whether to extend more credit to Alameda – though the distinction is hard to parse.

“That was the point at which Alameda’s margin position on FTX got, well, it got more leveraged substantially,” Bankman-Fried said in an interview with Bloomberg. “Obviously, in retrospect, we should’ve just said no.”

Kindness King

Other than Bankman-Fried, Wang didn’t seem to have many friends at the company, according to a person familiar with the matter. Singh, a high school friend of Bankman-Fried’s brother who overcame asthma to set a world record for the fastest 100-mile run by a 16-year-old, was more social and well-liked by his colleagues.

“In addition to building out much of our technological infrastructure and managing most of our dev team, his treatment of employees has earned him sole membership in our Slack group ‘Kings of Kindness,'” Bankman-Fried wrote in the FTX blog post.

Singh held a 7.83 per cent stake in the business silo that included FTX.US, which was worth about $572 million in March 2022, and received a $543 million loan from Alameda, according to bankruptcy documents. He was likely one of the five co-workers that Bankman-Fried pegged as a billionaire when asked earlier this year.

Singh had said working at the firms allowed him to make more money to give away – a tenet of the effective altruism movement – and that he was considering working for a charity in the future to “do the right thing” to make the world better.

“Currently, I’m sort of lucky that I can get fulfilled in many ways at this job – one of which is doing something that’s probably pretty good from an effective altruist perspective,” he said in a 2020 podcast.

A former FTX employee said it was shocking to see Singh, who served on the board of the firm’s philanthropic arm, at the center of the implosion. Another described their feelings as more heartbroken than angry that Singh reportedly knew customers funds were used to bail out Alameda.

FTX’s collapse “hit him hard,” Bankman-Fried said of Singh in his Vox interview.

“I mean it hit all of us hard,” he said. “But it hit him HARD.”

If Singh were ashamed and guilty, as Bankman-Fried put it, there are few signs he sought to make amends so far as FTX’s bankruptcy unfolds.

“We had no cooperation of the founders in preparing,” Ryne Miller, FTX’s general counsel, said in response to an issue raised with the company’s bankruptcy process last month, according to internal chat logs. “It was unfortunate.”

Among foods that spark a strong reaction, anchovies are at the top of the food chain.

Whether they’re adored or abhorred, it’s difficult to find someone who doesn’t have a strong opinion about these small silvery swimmers.

Food writer Alison Roman wants the haters to think differently. Anchovies are more versatile than most people think and deserve to be approached with an open mind, according to Roman.

She might be biased — anchovies are one of her all-time favorite foods — but she has a strategy to change cooks’ minds.

“They’re more of a condiment than an ingredient,” Roman said. “To cook with them, you don’t need to eat them whole.” She incorporates anchovies into many of her dishes in the same way that she would add garlic, herbs or other flavorful aromatics. “Most of the time when I’m eating (anchovies), I can’t even see them.”

Even if you think your taste buds will rebel if you try an anchovy, your brain and heart will be happier if you do. “Anchovies are a small but mighty fish,” said Michelle Dudash, registered dietitian, nutritionist and author of “The Low-Carb Mediterranean Cookbook.”

“They’re packed with the omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA, which are important for brain, cardiovascular and skin health,” she added. Anchovies are on par with salmon and tuna as one of the fish with the highest amounts of omega-3s per serving, and are a good source of protein, niacin and vitamin B12.

Following Roman’s lead of using anchovies as one of many elements in a dish instead of as the spotlight ingredient, cooks who want to incorporate anchovies into meals “can start small,” Roman suggested. “They don’t have to dump a whole jar into their salad.”

Here are three ways Roman likes to introduce anchovies to the wary but curious. Ready to change your “anchoview”? Read on.

Move over, ranch dressing — there’s another dip in town. Bagna cauda, the Italian dipping sauce made from anchovies, garlic, butter and olive oil, is traditionally served with crudités as an appetizer.

Roman loves using bagna cauda as a vehicle to introduce unsuspecting dinner guests to anchovies because it hits the taste trifecta of “salty, buttery, garlicky” flavors. “It’s mostly about garlic and vegetables,” Roman said. In addition to the traditional accompaniment of raw, crunchy vegetables, she likes to include steamed artichoke hearts and tender cooked potato slices.

Bagna cauda is also an answer to the ever-present question about anchovies: What about the bones? “They are so tiny, they mostly all melt” and dissolve into the dish when heat is applied, Roman said. “They’re not going to choke you.”

“High-quality anchovies shouldn’t have many bones,” she added, and they should not be noticeable like they would be in larger fish, such as a salmon fillet. If you happen to see many bones in your anchovies, “spring for a more expensive tin,” Roman said.

If the presence of whole anchovies resting atop a bed of romaine in a Caesar salad has been historically too much to handle, Roman’s Caesar-adjacent salad will be a refreshing revelation.

Roman likes to pair bitter greens from the chicory family, such as radicchio, with a dressing that can stand up to their strong flavors. “I put anchovies in my salads all the time,” she said, but when hidden in the dressing, they add body and nuance without overpowering any of the other ingredients with which they’re paired.

Anchovies in a dressing can add body and nuance to a salad without overpowering other ingredients.

Her preferred dressing blends finely chopped anchovies and capers with lemon, whole grain or Dijon mustard, and good quality olive oil. “It’s anchovy-heavy but more about the mustard and the garlic,” Roman explained, which she finds “meatier and saltier and more interesting” than the usual Caesar dressing.

Finally, the same strategy of dissolving the umami flavors of anchovies in a sauce comes into play when making a rich and comforting pasta. Based on the Venetian dish bigoli in salsa, in which long strands of thick bigoli pasta are tossed with slow-simmered onions and anchovies, Roman’s version can be used with any long, thin pasta.

Pasta alla puttanesca features garlic, olives, capers, tomatoes and anchovies.

Roman adds whole anchovies and chopped dried chili pepper to a skillet of sliced onions, garlic and fennel caramelized in olive oil. The whole fillets might look intimidating, but as with the bagna cauda, the anchovies melt and dissolve as the sauce simmers, leaving only a rich and meaty undertone. Finishing the dish with freshly squeezed lemon juice and parsley brightens up the intense sauce.

A free-form pasta sauce such as this lets you adjust the flavor balance based on what you like best. If you love lemon, squeeze more on. If fennel isn’t your favorite, use more onions instead. If you like it spicy? Amp it up with more chili pepper. “Gauge your own personal preferences,” Roman recommended.

When choosing a tin or jar of anchovies, Roman said to make sure the anchovies are oil-packed, salt-cured anchovy fillets, not brined, pickled or whole anchovies. The former is the most common style of jarred or canned anchovies on the market, but it always pays to double-check the label.

Second, “always try a bunch of brands. They really are all different,” Roman said. Though the ingredients in each container should be the same — anchovies, salt and olive oil — the fillets will vary in saltiness, taste and texture. “Ortiz and Cento are available nationally,” she said, and many other brands are available in brick-and-mortar and online specialty food stores.

One note on the salt-curing: “The only downside of anchovies is the sodium,” Dudash noted, since they are packed in salt during the curing process. “If you are concerned about your sodium intake or if you simply prefer less salty food, briefly rinse the anchovies and pat dry with a paper towel” before using them.

War of words erupts as fallout from A-Leagues grand final decision continues

As the fallout from the A-Leagues’ decision to sell their grand final hosting rights to Sydney continues, more clubs and players have taken to social media to clarify their positions, with one club shareholder and former director criticising the actions of a key decision-maker.

At 10:20pm AEDT on Tuesday, following an emergency meeting between club owners, the Australian Professional Leagues (APL) — which own and operate the A-League Men and A-League Women — released a statement doubling-down on their decision to partner with Destination NSW to host their showpiece events in Sydney for the next three years for a reported eight-figure sum.

“The Australian Professional League Club Chairs met today to reaffirm their support for the partnership with Destination New South Wales,” the statement said.

“As a result of the consensus achieved in this meeting, APL is committed to this new and significant partnership and the resulting generation of important new funds for football — all of which will be invested into the growth of the game.

“We believe in the potential for Australian football to close the gap on professional football in other parts of the world. We thank DNSW for sharing in that belief and our strategy to continue to grow the Australian professional game.

“Our immediate focus will be to work with partners to ensure accessible travel and accommodation for all travelling fans and to build a festival of finals football worthy of our game.”

When it was originally posted on social media, the statement was accompanied by the names of 11 club chairs — with the exception of Anthony Di Pietro, who resigned from his position on the APL board earlier in the day, and a representative from Canberra United — implying all had agreed to the information it contained.

However, the statement was soon taken down after some club figureheads — including Western United Football director Steve Horvat and Perth Glory chairman Tony Sage — revealed they never agreed to have their names included on the release, or were not part of the meeting from which the statement came at all. The APL then replaced the statement with one that had the names removed.

Avatar: The Way of Water (English) Movie Review: AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER rests on spellbinding visuals, action, never-before-seen scale, clap worthy climax and a strong emotional undercurrent.

Avatar: The Way of Water (English) Review {4.5/5} & Review Rating

AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER is the story of a man going to insane lengths to keep his family safe. More than a decade has passed since the events of the first film. Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) are happily residing together with fellow Na’vi’s. They are parents to elder son Neteyam (Jamie Flatters), younger son Lo’ak (Britain Dalton) and daughter Tuktirey aka Tuk (Trinity Jo-Li Bliss). They have adopted Kiri (Sigourney Weaver), who was created from the avatar of the deceased Dr Grace Augustine (Sigourney Weaver). These four kids are good friends with Miles Socorro aka Spider (Jake Champion), the child of none other than Colonel Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang), the antagonist of the first part who dies in the end. Though Spider is a human, he spends his time with the Na’vis and pretends to be like them. All is going well until one day, the humans aka ‘Sky People’ once again descend on Pandora. In a year’s time, they build a huge settlement, bigger than what was constructed by them last time. And this time, Miles comes back from the dead. He gets resurrected by the RDA (Resources Development Administration) as a Recombinant, that is, an avatar embedded with the memories of human. The aim of Miles’ avatar is to take revenge from Jake Sully and Neytiri. The Na’vi community have been causing damage to RDA’s structures and railway lines. The RDA forces too hit back. Jake feels that it’s him that they want to defeat and for this reason, the rest of the Na’vi population shouldn’t suffer. Hence, he and his family leave the Na’vi settlement in the forest. They travel hundreds of miles and reach the village of the Metkayina tribe, headed by Tonowari (Cliff Curtis) and Ronal (Kate Winslet). This tribe are ‘reef people’ who worship the sea. Their bodies are more suited for activities underwater. Hence, when Jake and his family ask them for refuge, they at first deny it since they feel their bodies are not meant for their lifestyle. But soon, they are allowed to assimilate and they slowly learn the way of life of Metkayina. Miles, meanwhile, kidnaps Spider and is trying his best to find out where Jake, Neytiri and their kids have fled. What happens next forms the rest of the film.

James Cameron, Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Josh Friedman and Shane Salerno’s story is simple and a bit clichéd. But James Cameron, Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver’s screenplay is splendid. The way they have treated this story and added a lot of depth, as well as entertainment, is praiseworthy. The dialogues are simple yet sharp.

James Cameron’s direction is splendid. The genius filmmaker once again gets it right. He takes his own sweet time to establish the world and the conflict, and in the third act, he goes all out in giving viewers a paisa-vasool experience. As expected, he handled the scale flawlessly. We had seen the fascinating world of Pandora in the first part. Here, shows a different part of the moon and the underwater element enhances the visual impact. But more than that, he scores on the emotional front. A very interesting angle of the outcast is tackled and it’ll touch the hearts of the viewers. Thankfully, it’s shown in such a simple manner that not just classes, but even the masses will be able to relate to and comprehend it.

On the flipside, nothing much happens in the first half. Like the first part, James Cameron does the build-up and helps viewers understand the world before commencing the action bit in the second half. While the intent is understandable, one still does get a bit impatient especially due to the long length. This 192-minute-long film should have been shorter by 10 minutes, especially in the first half. A few developments are not convincing, like Aonung (Filip Geljo) turning into a bully all of a sudden. Also, the way the Sully family escape without feeling sorry for Spider or even regret not saving him is not easy to digest. The backstory of the tulkun, Payakan, is not presented neatly. The makers should have taken care of this aspect as it forms an important part of the film.

AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER starts on a fine note. The scene where the Na’vi community blasts the railway scene is entertaining. Miles finding the dead body of his human avatar and realizing how he died is well thought of. The scene thereafter is nail-biting. The entry of Tsireya (Bailey Bass) is eye-catching and the scene where she tells Lo’ak that his heart is beating fast is too funny. The entry sequence of Payakan is heroic. Post-interval, the film takes time in a little more build up. But the pre-climax fight is where there will be a frenzy in cinemas. Just when you think that the fight is done, you’ll be in for a surprise as there’s one more action sequence in the climax and it’s also worth watching. The film ends with the hint of the third part in the offing.

Movie Review: Avatar: The Way of Water (English)

Speaking of performances, Sam Worthington yet again puts up a very impressive act. The last time, he played the role of an amateur who’s struggling to learn the ways of the Navi’s. This time, he’s supposed to be the mature one and also the protector of his family. He brings this aspect alive nicely. Zoe Saldaña is terrific yet again. Her act in the last 30 minutes is splendid. Stephen Lang is too good as the antagonist yet again. Sigourney Weaver and Jake Champion have a significant part and leave a huge mark. Jamie Flatters and Britain Dalton are fair but it’ll be difficult for the audience to distinguish between the two. Trinity Jo-Li Bliss and Cliff Curtis get limited scope. Kate Winslet does fine but looks quite unrecognizable. In fact, audiences might not even realize that they are seeing the TITANIC [1997] star on screen. Bailey Bass is cute and does a good job. Filip Geljo is passable.

Simon Franglen’s music exhilarates the impact manifold. Russell Carpenter’s cinematography is breathtaking and yet very neat. The underwater scenes are captured with utmost perfection. Dylan Cole and Ben Procter’s production design is very rich and appealing. Bob Buck and Deborah L Scott’s costumes are one of a kind as per the requirement. The action is a bit gory in one or two scenes but otherwise, it’s very entertaining. The VFX, as expected, is truly out-of-the-world and many notches higher than what we had seen in AVATAR [2009]. David Brenner, James Cameron, John Refoua and Stephen E Rivkin’s editing could have been crisper.

On the whole, AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER rests on spellbinding visuals, entertaining action scenes, never-before-seen scale, clapworthy climax and a strong emotional undercurrent in the storyline due to which it can run riot from East to West, and North to South at the box office. It is also at a huge advantage thanks to the popularity of the first part, extreme curiosity about the film, zero competition and inflated ticket rates. If the word of mouth is strong, it won’t be surprising if it emerges as the biggest Hollywood grosser in India, surpassing the numbers of AVENGERS: ENDGAME [2019].
