India World Cup 2023 squad announcement: All-rounder Hardik Pandya has been appointed as Rohit Sharma’s deputy as India announced their 15-member squad for the ODI World Cup 2023 on Tuesday. While India have gone ahead with KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer, who have just returned from injuries, Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma were left out. India have gone with three left-arm spinners while three specialist pacers have been picked. India skipper Rohit Sharma and BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar addressed a press conference and revealing India’s 15-member squad for the upcoming World Cup on Tuesday.

While MS Dhoni was dismissed for a golden duck, Ravindra Jadeja (15 off 6 balls) kept his calm and finished the encounter in style. Mohit Sharma took three wickets for GT. Earlier, Sai Sudharsan top-scored with 96 while Wriddhiman Saha slammed another half-century as GT reached a competitive total of 214/4. Matheesha Pathirana took two wickets for CSK. GT vs LSG, IPL 2023, Highlights: Top knocks from Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill, followed by a four-wicket haul from Mohit Sharma guided Gujarat Titans to a comfortable 56-run win over Lucknow Super Giants in their IPL 2023 match on Sunday. Sent in to bat, GT posted an imposing 227 for two. The hosts then stopped LSG at 171 for seven in the stipulated 20 overs. For LSG, Quinton de Kock was the top scorer with a 41-ball 70, while Kyle Mayers made 48 off 32 deliveries. Mohit Sharma finished with excellent figures of 4/29 in four overs for GT. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya’s unbeaten 59 and Mohammed Shami’s four-wicket haul went in vain. Earlier, Shami’s brilliant spell helped GT restrict DC to 130 for 8 in 20 overs. Shami returned figures of 4 for 11, while Mohit Sharma (2/33) and Rashid Khan (1/28) were also among wickets as the GT bowlers were right on the money. IND vs AUS, 2nd Test Day 2 Live Updates: Australia are one down as Ravindra Jadeja has dismissed Usman Khawaja. Travis Head has been joined by Marnus Labuschagne in the middle. Earlier, Axar Patel hit 74 runs while Virat Kohli scored 44 as India were bowled out for 262 runs against Australia in their first innings. Off-spinner Nathan Lyon claimed his 22nd five-wicket haul while Todd Murphy and Matthew Kuhnemann picked two wickets each. India had resumed at the score of 21 for 0 on Day 2.
