India vs England Live Score, 3rd Test Day 2: Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja slammed centuries to help India post 445 against England in the first innings in Rajkot. Rohit (131) and Jadeja (112)’s 204-run partnership set the tone for India before debutants Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel impressed with solid knocks. Sarfaraz hit 62 while Jurel scored 46 during his crucial partnership with Ravichandran Ashwin (37). Jasprit Bumrah put on a late show in the second session on Day 2, slammming a quickfire 46 to take India close to 450. For England, Mark Wood was the pick of the bowlers with four scalps to his name. India vs England, 2nd Test Day 3 Live Score Updates: Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett have started the proceedings for England in the chase of 399. The duo aims to stitch a solid partnership for the visitors. On the other hand, Indian bowlers are eyeing some quick wickets in the early stages of the innings. Earlier, Shubman Gill’s century propelled India to 255 on Day 3 of the ongoing second Test against England. India have now set a target of 399 for England. Resuming the day at 28/0, India lost two early wickets in the form of Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal but Gill brought the hosts back into the game. They have a bit of momentum with the win in the previous game but given the chopping and changing of the playing XI, we have seen some patchy cricket from the Aussies. However, Jason Behrendorff has stood head and shoulders above the rest and his bowling will once again be key for the touring side. Can Australia level the series? India have had a couple of additions to the side with the likes of Shreyas Iyer and Deepak Chahar coming in and Mukesh Kumar also returning to the side after his marriage. But whether they come straight into the playing XI remains to be seen and if so, who does India bench? The batting, in general, has fired and they have put more than 200 runs on the board in all the previous three games. The key for Suryakumar Yadav and co will be to tighten up the bowling a bit and get that series-clinching third win.

Australia too had a new-look side for this series but had some experienced names in the squad. Matthew Wade donned the captain’s armband but it was former skipper Steven Smith who picked up a stellar fifty before Josh Inglis simply put the Indian bowlers to the sword and raced away to an amazing ton which helped the Aussies breach the 200-run mark but the inexperienced bowling line up failed to defend the target. India came into this series with the dismay of the World Cup final behind them and a fairly young but T20-wise experienced side. The skipper, Suryakumar Yadav might not have had the best of times in the field as his bowlers conceded a lot of runs but certainly made a mark with the bat with a thunderous 80-run inning. Ishan Kishan too made a half-century and it was some heroics from Rinku Singh right at the death that sealed a 1-0 lead for the hosts.
