Juvenile courts are filled with minors who commit crimes and, yes, they are regularly sent to prison. They are often held in jail awaiting trial for their alleged crimes. Typically, these involve special units for children, but we still confine them. It was nothing more than demagoguery for Democrats to pretend this was somehow wrong or even unusual, which is why they are doing it again, now that they are in charge, again. Sometimes children have to be detained. Every sane person wishes it was unnecessary, but every rational person knows that sometimes it has to be done. It is as simple as that.

Dr. Fauci admits masks didn’t actually do very much good

As we noted earlier today, Dr. Anthony Fauci sat down for an interview with the New York Times and denied any responsibility for the COVID lockdowns. We also covered Alyssa Farah Griffin’s attempt to back him up. That attempt to rewrite history is galling enough. However, Ian Miles Cheong found something else objectionable in that interview:

Now he says it after people were censored on social media for questioning his claim that masks were some kind of miracle preventative.

Now he says it after lip-reading deaf people had their lives ruined.

Yes, she won a court case but only after losing her job.

Now he says they didn’t work very well after Shannon Heroux was reduced to tears:

Now he says it after this parent told us how it harmed her children’s health:

Now he tells us.

And he knew masks weren’t important. His behavior told you that he knew:

They all knew:

They all knew, but they imposed these mandates anyway. We are not saying no one benefits from masking. Some people are more vulnerable to COVID than others. But there was never proof that the benefit of a mask mandate outweighed the harms. We should have defaulted to freedom and individual choice.

Listen to these children when they are told they were no longer going to be forced to wear a mask. Listen to their joy:

Their joy is an indictment on every politician who forced them to wear masks—especially if they couldn’t live under the rules they imposed on us.

It’s the hypocrisy, stupid! Massive list of leftist love for Rand Paul’s neighbor – with receipts

The brutal attack on Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, has created a firestorm of political finger pointing, but it’s hard to miss the hypocrisy of the Left when it comes to violent attacks against politicians or their families.

We’ve reported the emerging, and strange, and even stranger, details of the attack as the story develops. Needless to say, the story is a hot mess, and the need for the Left to blame Republicans has made it even messier.

The calls for Republicans to ‘condemn’ the attack surfaced as reliably as Joe Biden getting lost on stage. This is right out of the leftist playbook. It goes without saying that the assault on Paul Pelosi is vile and despicable. Asking someone to ‘condemn’ the attack really means ‘you’re responsible for this violence, so you need to denounce your guy’. Don’t play that game.

Time will tell if Paul Pelosi’s attacker was motivated by any particular political ideology. Michael Shellenberger has an excellent writeup on what may turn out to be the best explanation for this: the guy is a drug-addled nutcase (our words, not Shellenberger’s).

What most of us couldn’t help notice was the hypocrisy of the Left. Just last month a teenager was murdered by a man who ran him over, thinking he was a ‘Republican extremist’. Crickets from the Left.

The most obvious case of left wing hypocrisy, however, is the ongoing infatuation by some on the Left with Rand Paul’s neighbor. It’s not a matter of condemning the attack on Rand Paul for these people. They’ve condoned, defended, mocked, praised, and celebrated the attack, and they continue to do so.

We’ll spare you all the tweets this guy made about Rand Paul’s neighbor.
