At least 7 dead in landslides after M7.6 quake hits Papua New Guinea

Landslides triggered by a magnitude 7.6 earthquake in a mountainous area of Papua New Guinea have killed at least seven people and damaged nearly 400 houses, the United Nations reported on Monday.

The earthquake hit remote mountainous areas in northeastern Papua New Guinea on Sunday.
